The words every person needs to hear

You Matter. You are loved. It gets better. 

I am so thankful to have a platform to discuss things that are meaningful to me. Words mean something to me. I was was raised on the phrase that actions speak louder than words. I do get that phrase, it does make sense to me... but words matter too. There are so many interactions we have with each other in a day. These conversations; whether it's with Marie, my favorite Starbucks Barista, or my kids; they're opportunities to make the people in your life know they are cared for.  As a woman, I feel that I was raised to be polite & not inconvenience others. However, as a person who has gone through some very dark times, I never ever would have thought about inconvenience or rudeness if someone let me know they cared about me. It would have been the sunshine peeking through the clouds on a grey winter day. Whether someone is having a bad day, bad week, or bad year.... it never hurts to let someone you care about know that they matter, they are loved, and if you know them really well, to remind them this is a season in their life and it gets better. So open your hearts and your mouths and let someone you love know that you care!
