HANDCRAFTED: YOU ARE WORTHY OF RELAXATION

Have you ever looked at someone else having a great time, felt a little bit of jealousy, and then tried to duplicate it, only to have it fall flat? Oh my gosh! They’re out there playing soccer with their kids in the yard, and having a great time. We should do that! Then you try it, your kids are crying, and the bugs are biting you, and it’s not fun. You might wonder what went wrong? You consider, maybe you’re not good at having fun? Even worse, you start to believe you’re no fun. But the reality is that you don’t really like sports or being outside. The real problem is that your fun needs to consider you. What do you enjoy doing?

YOU ARE WORTHY OF FUN. YOU ARE WORTHY OF REST. YOU ARE WORTHY OF RELAXATION.

Here are 3 ways to create a relaxing experience for YOU.

  1. HOW DO YOU LIKE TO RELAX? Is it a New York Times game of Wordle? A glass of wine with your husband? A hot bath at the end of the day? What your preferences are, matter. What feels good in your body? Not because anyone else does it this way, but because you know you feel great when you do this.

  2. WHAT WOULD ELEVATE YOUR EXPERIENCE. I am an avid bath taker. It’s the way that I get out of my head and back into my body. However, I’ve learned that I can take a hot bath or create an entire experience around it. I like to read, so I choose 3 books I’m into and place them in a basket near the tub. Maybe I’m not feeling like reading a book, so I have an interesting article I’m into ready on my phone. I’m not really feeling like reading, so I have a netflix series chosen to give my brain some rest. Then there are my favorite towels, rolled up and ready to use in the basket. All my favorite bath salts, bubble bath, mud masks are my favorites, they’re all there at hand. Think about what you’re into and how you could uplevel your experience. Is it a comfy chair in a quiet room with your favorite blanket rolled up and ready for you? Is it a bowl of your popcorn popped and ready for you and your husband to enjoy, along with that incredible red zin? What would make your experience amazing?

  3. MAKE IT HAPPEN. These magical baths don’t just happen. The time needs to be claimed. I’m not going to admit to you how many baths I take a week! Probably, at least 5, because I’ve begun really getting, that I am worthy of rest, I am worthy of relaxation. I can show up in a way that I am proud of when I take good care of me. So, although I do indulge more often then I schedule, I do make a point of scheduling 3 evenings after my husband and I get the kids in bed to bathe. Your relaxation, your well-being, and most of all YOU matter!! You are worthy of time to yourself to relax!! If this feels weird, start out with one day per week!! You are worth it!!!

I hope you have an incredible day!!!
